Mattias is currently the director of McGill’s largest vocal ensemble, the University Chorus, and appeared twice as guest conductor with the Schulich Singers during the 2023-2024 academic year. During his masters studies, he served as director of music for the University Church in Yale, while studying with David Hill, André Thomas and Jeffrey Douma. At Haverford College, Mattias studied conducting for three semesters with Nathan Zullinger, and completed a senior thesis capstone project in choral conducting during the 2019-20 academic year. In 2023, Mattias was selected as one of six young musicians to conduct in the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir’s 'Take the Podium' concert, under the tutelage of Jean-Sébastien Vallée.
